Morgan's 1st Haircut

Morgan FINALLY received her 1st haircut.  Nothing fancy, but she did GREAT and loved it!

Morgan's New Bright Pink Cast ~!

Morgan took a slight tumble off her bicycle on Christmas Eve.  By reaching out to catch herself from the fall, she managed to receive a hairline fracture above her elbow. After an urgent care, pediatrician, and finally an orthopedic visit, a cast was placed on Morgan's right arm.  It will be on for 4 weeks!

Christmas Day - Austin 2012

The joy and awe of Christmas morning. Santa was good to all of us again this year.

Christmas Eve - Austin 2012

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...cookies were decorated on Sunday evening... Santa's helper dropped off special "pre-Christmas" gifts for the cousins to enjoy on Christmas Eve am!The evening started off with a quick trip to urgent care for Morgan - before continuing on to Christmas Eve service and followed by a party at the house for close friends of the family. Let's just say that the pre-church family pictures didn't go as planned, but a few were captured (thx to Aunt Leah)!The Etter Family - PEACE be with you!Letter and goodies for Santa. Kingwood Christmas

The girls opened a few personal gifts from us before we headed to Austin.  We also allowed them to open gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Etter as well as their aunt, uncle and cousin in Florida.  They loved their books, puzzles, and Barbie dolls! Unbelievable to have hot weather days before X-mas!

1st Grade Christmas Party

Regan's class celebrated with an early morning mass and were allowed to wear green or red (in lieu of their normal uniforms).  Party started after mass and included snacks, crafts, and gift exchanges! Pictured w/ Paige, Delicia, and Isabella.  Her desk-mate/"neighbor" is Sophia. Cute water bottle idea!

2012 Ornaments

The girls both made ornaments this year. Regan was assigned a Bible verse, asked to write it and then show a picture depicting its meaning. Morgan helped make hers by smiling sweetly & adding glitter!

Journey to Bethlehem

Our little angel sang "Mary, Did You Know?" & "Angels We Have Heard on High" at St Martha's Christmas program. Front and center - enthusiasticly singing every word!!

A Little Christmas at Home

Our family tree went up the weekend before Thanksgiving this year - as did Regan's "Princess" tree full of pink & purple ornaments. Morgan's stocking finally got her name monogrammed on it! :)

2012 Christmas Card

Only 7 days until Christmas. Cards have been mailed. Last week of school b/4 a 2 wk break. Polar Express,  "Journey" & Christmas parties at school. Teacher gifts wrapped. Ready for Ho-Ho to come!

Thanksgiving at The Barn

Morgan's 3rd Birthday Party!

Oh, yes! One VERY EXCITED b-day girl + 1 happy sister + 8 friends = fun time!Parachute fun! We nixed the gift opening so the kids had 1.5 hours + of play time!Cupcake and ice cream time!!  Morgan had one request  - PURPLE icing! The kids inhaled the food and drink - and returned to play some more!! Let's just say that Morgan came home, opened 3 gifts, stood up & asked to go to bed...it was 5:30pm! B-day celebrations will continue through Nov!!

Halloween 2012: Trick or Treat Fun!

My two princesses! Snow White (almost 3) & Ariel (6).  We decided not to wear the red Ariel wig.They enjoyed going door-to-door almost as much as they liked passing out the candy!They love their daddy!  He walked w/ the girls around the block again this year! (w/ neighbor, Billy)

All Saints Parade

Regan was Saint Elizabeth again this year for her All Saints Parade.  This was the 1st year that I attended. Note the more elaborate costumes - compared to my scarf and pillow case! :)Happy Halloween from the four of us!

Pumpkin Carving

We started this project on Sunday evening. Christopher cleaned out the big pumpkin for me - and then declared that the creative stuff was my job. Ha! Morgan wanted nothing to do w/ pumpkin carving.

Where's the Boat?

We early VOTED yesterday!  Both of the girls went with us - and both got to push the red "cast ballot" button for Christopher and me.  We have been discussing this election as well as the citizen's right to vote with the girls - I actually read an article by Mrs. Obama on the importance of having your children see you vote. Regan said that she'd vote against Obama because he doesn't like ice cream! :)  After we cast our VOTE, I told Morgan that we were done - & she asked, "but where is the BOAT??" :)

Friday Pre-Halloween Fun!

Morgan's school had a Halloween parade on Friday.  Her class theme was: "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish"!  Unfortunately, I couldn't attend, but left my camera for photos! (w/ Reese in red)Regan attended "Parents Night Out" at Rowland Ballard Gymnastics.  [Only for us, Regan likes a parent to stay during the 2 1/2 hour play!]  The kids had to dress up, yet still be able to do gymnastics! This was the best I could do! Morgan just insisted on being in the picture showing off her new "princess" shirt!

Pumpkin Patch Visit #2

My birthday weekend (yes, that's me w/o make-up!).  My parents visited & we tried another visit to the Pumpkin Patch. About the same results. These are Regan & Morgan's favorite weekend dresses!We LOVE the Pumpkin Patch!  Fun times ~ !

Horseback Riding

Regan enjoyed a day off from school on Oct 15 (teacher in-service).  Christopher found a Groupon deal and purchased a guided "Trail ride for 2" - it was Regan's first horseback riding experience! Loved it!

Weekend Fun!

Sept 29. Fun in the rain!

Oct 6.  Outside fun at Reese's b-day party, but no smiles for the camera (w/ Brendon)! Morgan loved the layered rainbow jello - Reese's mom told me that she had to wait 15 minutes between layers!  :)Regan's "I'm Glad I'm Me" classroom activity.  I couldn't capture her self portrait, but liked the rhyme.1st grade. I'm amazed at what they are learning & the amount of work that they do each week! Religion class. The benefit of a Catholic school. The twins mom stopped me today to say that the class is preparing for All Saints Day.  Each year, Albert & Cecilia dress as "their" saint.  Albert asked his mom if there was a Saint Regan! :)  I said that the best we could do was dress as St Elizabeth!
