Morgan's 1st Day - Back to Pines (Year 2)

Morgan was excited to get back to school - and to her routine! She will stay in Ms. Adriana's "Toddler" class for the next few months until her transition to "Primary". She wore her favorite purple shorts and Snow White socks and refused to take a picture w/o her juice in hand!2011 vs. 2012.  My little girls are growing up!

Gymnastics X2

Both girls are enrolled in gymnastics at Rowland Ballard this school yr (every Wed). Regan is w/ the 5-7 yr olds; Morgan is in the Parent-Child class (1st time!). That is REE on the rope climb (top rt-middle)!

Regan's First Day of 1st Grade!

It was a short 4 hr day, but Regan loved it! Her favorite of my "must have" 1st day of school pictures is the "serious" pose (in the middle)! So dramatic!
They get individual desks in first grade - no more shared tables. Morgan gave Regan a kiss for luck!

Regan's New Door Hanger

The door hanger was attached to Regan's b-day card from Gigi & Pops.  She now has to turn the hanger when she comes & goes from her room! My big girl is growing up so fast!

Made in China?

Regan has asked repeatedly: "Why is everything made in China?". Well, she handed me this spoon this morning and said: "Mom - I finally found something that was 'Made in USA'! :) Aren't we proud?!

I invited Landry over for another play date today. A bit exhausting - but the girls had a blast!

Morgan's Favorite Princess - Snow White

Morgan loves Snow White. She names everything "Snow White". We have a Snow White nightgown & plenty of Snow White underwear & socks. Re: socks, Morgan refuses to wear any socks except those that are "designed" w/ a princess or other character.  I can't tell you the last time she wore white socks or socks that match an outtfit! She has her "princess" moments - especially her high heels!

Time to Dump ~

Regan loved her "water" books. These are 2 of her favorites & we read them non-stop. I still have them memorized 6 years later.  Morgan hasn't been as interested in these books, but then again, she has a sister to play with in the tub! The books have grown moldy despite my best attempts to clean them.  I chunked them in the trash this weekend - but fished them out for a few pictures!

Summer Wrap-Up!

As summer school ended, I took this week off to be w/ the girls! On Monday, we went on a long stroller ride & then to the park. I surprised REE w/ a play date w/ Landry later that day.

Regan is prepping for 1st grade. We are still flipping our numbers so we are practicing daily!  Morgan is a potty trained champ! No accidents since week #1! Pines plans to promote her in Oct 2012 to the next class (3-6 yr olds)! Note: MEE's favorite new backpack & 1st ponytail! :)

"Mommy of the Day" Moments

Cookie cutters.  Every day, I cut special shapes out of bread for Regan's PB&H sandwiches. I don't know why, but this makes me feel like a better mom - having put that little extra effort into making it special.  Thanks, Sarah, for letting me borrow (& not return) your (my favorite) cookie cutters!

Fun w/ Friends - Gymnastics B-Day Party!

Regan enjoyed a gymnastics-themed party on Saturday; Most of these kids will start 1st grade together at St. Martha's next Wednesday! (Aug 15th)! Wow - the summer has flown!

Pizza Time ~ !

This is the level of "cooking" (or should I say "baking") that I can handle! The girls had fun making pizza this past weekend. Regan LOVED eating her pizza; of course, Morgan decided that she doesn't like pizza anymore! [I'm sure CPS would approve of the bread knife's location next to Morgan!!!]
