Regan's 7th Birthday!

I seriously don't know who was more excited about Regan's birthday! Morgan told everyone that would listen (& was simply giddy!) that it was her sister's birthday! Regan ate cookie cake w/ her 1st grade class, attended cheer camp & then swim practice before our family celebration. Pancakes (stealing Aunt Leah's tradition) - followed by presents & cake! Busy day for my 7 yr old!

In the mornings, while Regan may sit and read, MEE is our little helper getting our backpacks and other items to the car.  As we are usually always in a hurry, Morgan also reminds Regan that it is time to leave. This week, she turned to REE and said, "Regan, you are my poky little puppy!" :)

Swim Meet and Grandma & Grandpa Visit

After our swim meet on Saturday, Grandma & Grandpa came to visit for the day! Busy day!

Gymnastics - Year Completed

REE completed another year of gymnastics.  This was Morgan's 1st year of gymnastics. Both LOVE it!!

Nuts About You!

I received sweet gifts this morning for Mother's Day! Computer-generated card from Regan's IT class (and ceramic butterfly coaster); a "necklace" and handprint card from Morgan. Check out her "M"!

We enjoyed a beautiful day at the Pines park.  Morgan wanted to play on the new train in the "kiddie" playground (where they are no longer able to play during school hrs). Like REE, MEE loves swinging!!

American Girl Doll Party

Immediately after the swim meet, we showered & dressed for Isabella's 7th b-day party. The girls & their dolls enjoyed tea & an early dinner!  Long drive to a cruddy mall (& nothing like the NY store)!

1st Swim Meet

Regan joined our neighborhood Sandcreek Sea Lions swim team.  We have completed 3 weeks of swim practice.  We had a intra-team meet this weekend.  While we did have the req'd red swimsuit, it didn't fit and the vendor never showed up for the exchange.  So, for the 1st meet, it was easy to spot Regan!

Gigi's Goodies

The girls LOVED their surprise goodie package from Gigi enclosed with new outfits for McKenna and McKenzie!  Gigi is thinking that the $35+ price tag per outfit from AG isn't so bad! Thanks, Gigi!

Wizard of Oz - Kingwood's Nathaniel Center

We took the girls to see the production of Wizard of Oz - performed by school age kids (ages 7 - 13).

Morgan's "Science Fair" @ Pines

Pines had a "Science Fair" & invited all families to view their work.  Morgan's class showed the effect of wind:  learning about windmills and making pinwheels.  Her after-school class studied the life cycle of the butterfly - including a cute song.  Regan did the exact project a few years ago @ SMCS.

Future History Lessons

A recent work trip to Philadelphia allowed me to visit some historical sites:  Independence Hall (where Declaration of Independence was signed); Betsy Ross' house, Liberty Bell & tour of the US Mint.

And, Christopher can tell the girls all about meeting our 43rd President of the United States.  He had the opportunity a few weeks ago to meet George W. Bush at a conference in Dallas.
