2014 Comes to an End

2014 was a wonderful year - one which flew by way too quickly.  There is no way to capture it in one picture or even a few.  I'll never be able to summarize the year in its entirety - nor, will I remember all the special memories, experiences, and changes that occurred. Mini-vacations (Disney, Lost Pines, Spring Break with Gigi & Pops), new glasses, 1st communion, learning to ride a bike, leaving old schools for new, advancing to new grades (PK4 & 3rd grade), birthday celebrations for #5 & #8!

It was definitely the year of Frozen!!  While we attended many plays and movies - none ranked as high as the movie Frozen.  Malificient was a close 2nd!  The latest was Annie!

Summer and after-school activities consumed many hours. Gymnastics, tennis, swimming (Morgan learned to swim this Summer), and volleyball (YMCA and TCA)! Still figuring out our favorite!

But, hands down, our favorite time was spent with friends and family - especially holidays with grandparents, aunts/uncles & cousins! (Valentine's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas).

All I Want for 2015...

Is my two front teeth!!  Around 10pm, Regan informed us that her tooth was going to come out tonight or first thing in the am. The next minute, she tells us it's out! Toothfairy - please come again!!

Spa Time Fun!

The girls have enjoyed their gifts from The Wood Family.  We had spa day with the toes - and then the girls "played" make-up and had their nails painted! Morgan is loving her pretend make-up set!

Christmas Holiday Fun!

Once again, Christmas has come & gone too quickly. Early gift exchange at home. Their dolls got dressed up and participated too - & they received their own stockings this year! Smiles by the tree.

A visit from Santa on Christmas Eve morning in Austin.  [MEE conveying comment from Harper.]

It wouldn't be Christmas without decorating sugar cookies!!

A few pictures before Christmas Eve service.

My wild girls (and my picturesque nephew and niece) before putting out the reindeer food.

Picking out cookies (and a little Whiskey) for Santa's pending arrival.

Christmas morning.  Regan's look-alike doll from Gigi & Pops!  And later...MEE & Harper getting ready with Aunt Leah.  The girls were applying their "make-up" and "painting toes" together!

Hard Hat Fun

We travelled to CS this weekend. The girls wanted their picture taken after the BCS 1/2 marathon packet pick-up (can you tell that they got new sunglasses at the event?).  On our way home, we checked out our friend's new house under construction!  Safety first - hard hats were a must!

Throwback Thursday - Gobble Gathering

We attended Morgan's PK-4 Gobble Gathering at school.  The class sang a few songs and we enjoyed snacks together.  Just a few days short of her 5th birthday!

They attempted a class picture at the end. Attempted is the key word!

I still remember the first Gobble Gathering in 2009 - Regan in PK-3 (3 1/2 years old).  Morgan also attended this Gobble Gathering (under my "jelly bean" dress) - just a few days short of her arrival!

School Projects - October & November

October "Skeleton Project" - REE read a mystery book - each part of the body told a part of the story.

November Project.  Turkeys in Disguise.  Regan immediately came up with the idea of Cleopatra!

Regan showed me her Saint project on the wall; She did a "pilgrimage" project - we traced the Barricklo family back to The Netherlands (1585) - we created the Dutch girl dress from Holland.

Regan made her first A-B Honor Roll - 1st Quarter 2014 ~!

Morgan's turkey classwork.
