Sweet Kinder Teacher

Mrs. McCabe has been a sweet blessing to Morgan (and our family) this year.  She came to watch her students at one of our recent "away" swim meets.  She asked 4 of us to come up to school this week - as she and the kids had a "treat" for us.  There were 4 of us that read with the kids weekly...and took turns with computer lab, and anything else Mrs. McCabe needed.  With recent good news, she asked the 4 of us if "we'd like a saucer to go with the cup" next year? :)

Last Week of School

A little older, a little taller, another year smarter...same 'ole walk to school, but most importantly: two happy girls with same excited smile...first week of school vs. last week of school!

Regan Turns TEN!!

Regan celebrated her 10th birthday at her swim meet, a late Italian lunch, and an afternoon swim (yes, more swim time AFTER the swim meet).  A cookie cake was shared by quite a few swim team mates! Opened gifts - excited about her new Garmin, new books, and the long holiday weekend!

These BOOTS are made for walking!

We used our rain boots consistently this school year - both going to and coming from school!! 

Kindergarten "Graduation" Program

Our "baby" is graduating from Kindergarten.  For the first time, they used a 50s theme. They are holding signs for Kindergarten ("K") and First (grade). They sang quite a few songs using "Grease" music. This picture shows a combined 4 Kinder classrooms with about 20 kiddos each!

Morgan got to be on the front row as she had a "line" to memorize and say to the crowd!

So proud of this little lady! We were blessed with a wonderful K teacher and great Kinder friends!

GT Expo

All Humble ISD GT students were represented at the Humble Civic Center. Regan researched Chris Colfer (both an actor and writer) and compared the tv stats (Glee) to his book sales!

Countdown to Summer Break

8 Days of school left! We have been so blessed - it has been a great school year!

Katy Kids Triathlon

Derby Days - aka Track & Field Day

The girls enjoyed their first Derby Day at Deerwood!

Dr. Pepper Museum

Regan's GT team visited The Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco, Texas.  I met the bus at the museum and enjoyed the tour as well as the experiments with the kiddos!  Regan did the Coke, Pepsi, and HEB brand cola taste test = HEB brand cola declared winner amongst the group. The kids also tried Dr Pepper floats at the end of the day! Long day, but good!!

Our TWO Sand Creek Sea Lions! We have completed 2 swim meets already and the girls have done great! Our 4 prior months of swim lessons were beneficial from a stroke and endurance standpoint.
