"Art" Class Project

We saw this idea and decided to give it a try!  Morgan helped me make the design with blue tape on our side fence (facing the sidewalk trails) - and colored a few - but she wanted to invite neighbor kids or others riding or walking by to color!  It turned out nicely and we've received a lot of compliments - telling us that "the design brings a smile to my face when I walk/ride past it"!!

Quarantine - Home School Week 1 & 2

Schedules are falling into place...waking up early to go for a bike ride or taking Ollie for a walk.  Zoom meetings start as early 10am.  Homework is taking place with online assignments - and keeping both girls busy.  We try to take a break mid-afternoon for Sonic "happy hour" (6 mile round-trip on bikes)!

Cooking and Baking

The dishwasher is full by noon.  It seems that I'm in the kitchen all day long.  But, we are trying to set a weekly menu and find new recipes (especially new breakfast options) and baking a few treats along the way too (the girls are more than happy helping with desserts).  Some winners, some not...gonna try a new key lime recipe (this one was too runny and too yogurty!)...I'm craving a good key lime pie!!

Corona Virus Pandemic

Schools are closed, with all events and activities cancelled through (at least) April 10. This is part of the ongoing effort to support our nation's need to "flatten the curve" of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pi Day & Pops' Birthday!

Regan had an Algebra Pi Day "bonus" project. Divide any circle's circumference by its diameter, the answer is always 3.14... ("celebrated" on March 14 or 3/14...also Pops' birthday!!). I thought Regan's representation was very creative!!

Spring Break in Blanco

Enjoyed a few days w/ cousins...working on cleaning up our property w/ the help of M & H's Gator transportation back & forth to the burn pile...& celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary!

KHS Freshman Cheerleader!

We have a KHS Freshman Cheerleader!  A long week of hard work paid off....exciting year ahead.

Open House at Deerwood
