Fun w/ Gigi & Pops!!

Blowing bubbles...Tea time...All jewelled up! How 'bout that pinkie hold? So dramatic and sassy, but so sweet! :) Swimming time...this picture deserves to stand alone. Morgan is making quite a splash these days!Loving the pool...of course, who wouldn't in 109 degree weather (Austin record high in 100 years)!I'm never fast enough with a camera...Morgan isn't a fan of taking pictures! Somebody is MAD at me! :(

Unlike Regan, my baby girl refuses to speak with me on the phone. I'm sad, but I know that she is young and doesn't understand why I've been gone so long.  I miss my strong-headed little girl who loves the color purple!! 5 days and counting...and I'll be home!  [Note on pic: I couldn't find Morgan one afternoon and eventually spied her upstairs sitting in her chair "reading" a book.]

China Visit (Day 2 of Tour)

Overcast and rain today on tour! Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven & Summer Palace.  My favorites were the Silk Factory (where we learned the stages of a silk worm and actually saw the machines pulling the silk from the cocoon) and the Pearl Factory (we got to pick an oyster from the pond and they pried it open in front of us - exposing some pearls; I learned so much about pearls!

China Visit (Day 1 of Tour)

The Great Wall (Badaling Section) - what more can I say? It was a memorable experience despite the thick fog that kept us from the pictures I had envisioned taking on this adventure. Ming Tombs, Jade Factory & Dr. Tea completed our tour. I have a lot of China history reading to do when I return!

Malaysia Visit

Didn't see much outside the office walls. Experienced the Muslim traditions. The Petronas Twin Towers (in which we have an office) were a terrific site to see - especially at night. 

Daddy's In Charge!

While Momma's away, the girls do play! Christopher is doing a wonderful job sending pictures of the girls on an almost daily basis (incl. before school pics!). Regan is loving summer school (& the freedom from uniforms!) & making friends, playing the "adult" version of Monopoly & getting the "swing" of the special monkey bars at the park. And, Morgan figured out the peddling on the smaller bicycle!!

Singapore Visit

Although this blog is supposed to be capturing events in Regan and Morgan's lives, my 15 day trip does impact them. I do want them to know that their Momma's time away from them was for work. But, yes, I'm also getting the opportunity to visit 3 countries - which I may never visit again.

After more than 24+ hours on 4 different planes, 3 co-workers & I finally landed in Singapore for a one night stay.  We did one evening of sight-seeing before proceeding to ADP's Payroll office the next day. We stayed at the Mandarin Oriental, located in Marina Centre, & enjoyed beautiful skyline views from our hotel room. The financial district has towering skyscrapers.  We had dinner in Clarke Quay.Merlion Park overlooks scenic Marina Bay. The Merlion - the head of a lion and body of a fish represents the original name of Singapore, Singapura, which means lion city. Now on to Malaysia!

Harper's 1st Birthday!

Summer vacation begins. The simple joys of playing with bubbles! Loved seeing & feeding the new baby ducks at the pond.

"Funny" story - we played in the sprinklers & baby pool in the backyard. After a while, I told Regan that I was going to follow Morgan onto the driveway while she rode her tricycle. Regan continued playing in the backyard. When I returned, Regan was sitting in the pink baby pool and asking: "Mom - do you know what this label says? It says to watch children at all times, but you left me here!"
